Description

Quick and easy brown sugar pork chops with a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. Caramelized crust, juicy meat, and a rich glaze—ready in 30 minutes using just one pan! Perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the seasoning: In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Coat the pork chops: Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the pork chops.
  3. Heat the pan: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and butter.
  4. Sear the pork chops: Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside.
  5. Make the glaze: In the same pan, add chicken broth, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and remaining brown sugar. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return the pork chops: Place them back in the pan, spooning the glaze over the top. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Spicy Kick: Add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
  • Herb Infusion: Use fresh rosemary or thyme for added aroma.
  • Citrus Twist: Squeeze fresh lemon juice before serving.
  • Honey Alternative: Swap brown sugar with honey for a different caramelized glaze.
