Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease lightly.
- Prepare the potatoes: Wash potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry. Leave small potatoes whole or halve them; cut larger potatoes into evenly sized pieces.
- Make the garlic butter mixture: In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, careful not to burn. Stir in olive oil.
- Season the potatoes: Place potatoes in a large mixing bowl. Pour the garlic butter mixture over them and toss to coat evenly. Add salt and pepper, mixing well.
- Arrange on baking sheet: Spread potatoes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between pieces to ensure crispiness.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes, flipping the potatoes halfway through, until golden brown and fork-tender.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from oven, sprinkle with parsley or your preferred herbs, and serve hot.
