Bang Bang Salmon {Air Fryer}

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Quick and easy Bang Bang Salmon made in the air fryer, featuring crispy salmon fillets topped with a creamy, sweet, and spicy Bang Bang sauce. Perfect for healthy weeknight dinners or meal prep with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tsp Sriracha (adjust for spice preference)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Olive oil spray
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Optional: sesame seeds or fresh herbs (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set the air fryer to 400°F and let it preheat for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Salmon: Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season lightly with garlic powder and a pinch of salt.
  3. Cook the Salmon: Spray the air fryer basket lightly with olive oil. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the basket, ensuring they are spaced apart. Air fry at 400°F for 7-10 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  4. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha until smooth. Adjust spice level as desired.
  5. Assemble: Transfer cooked salmon to a serving plate. Drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the top of each fillet.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped green onions and optional sesame seeds or herbs over the top. Serve immediately with your choice of side dishes.

Notes

  • Storage: Store salmon in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Keep sauce separate for best results.
  • Reheating: Reheat salmon in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes. Sauce can be served cold or slightly warmed.
  • Variations:
    • Swap salmon for shrimp, chicken, or tofu.
    • Serve over cauliflower rice or zucchini noodles for a low-carb option.
    • Use gluten-free sweet chili sauce for a gluten-free recipe.
