  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Juicy Brown Sugar Pork Chops with a caramelized glaze, blending sweet and savory flavors for a perfect weeknight meal. Easy, delicious, and family-friendly!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or parsley for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C), if baking.
  2. Season the pork chops on both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Add butter and brown sugar to the pan, allowing the sugar to melt and create a glaze.
  6. Lower the heat and spoon the glaze over the pork chops to coat evenly.
  7. For oven-baked pork chops, transfer them to a baking dish, pour any remaining glaze over the top, and bake for 10-15 minutes until fully cooked.
  8. Check for doneness using a meat thermometer (145°F for medium, 160°F for well-done).
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Spicy Kick – Add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper for a bit of heat.
  • Tangy Twist – Mix in a splash of balsamic vinegar or Dijon mustard to balance the sweetness.
  • Herb-Infused – Use rosemary or thyme for an extra aromatic touch.
  • Grilled Version – Instead of pan-searing, cook the pork chops on a preheated grill for a smoky flavor.
  • Maple-Glazed – Swap brown sugar for maple syrup for a different depth of sweetness.
