  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

For Garnish:

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak dry and season both sides generously with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  3. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side, adjusting for thickness and doneness preference.
  4. Lower the heat, add butter, and baste the steak by spooning melted butter over it.
  5. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing into thin strips.

Making the Alfredo Sauce:

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese, whisking until the sauce is smooth and thickened.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.

Cooking the Pasta & Assembling:

  1. Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. Toss cooked pasta in Alfredo sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
  4. Plate the pasta and top with sliced Cajun steak.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice.
