Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cold water

  • Fresh berries or fruit compote (for garnish)
  • Honey or caramel sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Gelatin: Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in a small bowl and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat the Cream and Milk: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture is warm but not boiling.
  3. Incorporate the Gelatin: Remove from heat, add bloomed gelatin, and stir until fully dissolved.
  4. Add Flavoring: Stir in vanilla extract or vanilla bean seeds.
  5. Strain the Mixture: Pass through a fine-mesh sieve to remove undissolved bits.
  6. Pour into Molds: Divide evenly into ramekins or serving glasses. Let cool before covering with plastic wrap.
  7. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until set.
  8. Serve: To unmold, dip ramekins briefly in warm water, then invert onto plates. Garnish with fresh berries, fruit compote, honey, or caramel sauce.
