Description

Crab Rangoon Dip is a warm, creamy, and cheesy appetizer featuring crab, cream cheese, garlic, and scallions. Perfect for parties, game nights, and gatherings, it pairs well with crispy wonton chips or vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz canned or fresh lump crab meat
  • 2 scallions, chopped
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 wonton wrappers (for chips)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a small baking dish.
  2. Mix the Base: In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Stir until smooth.
  3. Add Cheese and Seasonings: Mix in mozzarella, Parmesan, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Fold in Crab and Scallions: Gently fold in crab meat and scallions, ensuring even distribution.
  5. Transfer to Baking Dish: Spread mixture evenly in the prepared dish.
  6. Bake Until Bubbly: Bake for 20-25 minutes until hot and bubbling.
  7. Prepare Wonton Chips: Cut wonton wrappers into triangles, place on a baking sheet, spray with cooking spray, and bake for 5-7 minutes until crispy.
  8. Serve and Enjoy: Remove dip from oven, garnish with extra scallions if desired, and serve warm with wonton chips or preferred dippers.

Notes

  • Spicy Kick: Add sriracha or red pepper flakes.
  • Healthier Option: Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream and low-fat cream cheese.
  • Different Cheeses: Swap mozzarella for cheddar or Monterey Jack.
  • Seafood Mix: Combine crab and shrimp for variety.
  • Slow Cooker Version: Mix all ingredients and cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
