- 2 tbsp butter (divided)

- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1 cup basmati rice
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken:
Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside. - Sauté Aromatics:
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tbsp butter. Sauté garlic and shallots for 2 minutes until fragrant. - Deglaze the Pan:
Add chicken broth to deglaze, scraping up browned bits from the bottom of the pan. - Make the Cream Sauce:
Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, and Parmesan cheese. Add thyme, rosemary, and parsley. Simmer for 5 minutes, adjusting salt and pepper to taste. - Cook the Basmati Rice:
Meanwhile, cook basmati rice according to package instructions. Fluff with a fork and set aside. - Finish the Chicken:
Return chicken to the skillet, nestling it in the sauce. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked. - Serve:
Plate basmati rice and top with creamy herb chicken. Garnish with additional parsley.
