- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- 2 tbsp fruit preserves or fresh fruit (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add granulated sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and egg yolk. Mix until creamy.
- Unroll the Dough: Open the crescent roll package. Keep the dough in triangles or pinch perforated edges to form rectangles.
- Shape the Danishes: Cut dough into squares or circles and fold edges slightly to create a raised border.
- Fill with Cream Cheese Mixture: Spoon a small amount of cream cheese filling into the center of each piece.
- Add Fruit (Optional): Place a small dollop of fruit preserves or fresh fruit on top of the filling.
- Bake: Transfer to the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Prepare the Glaze: Mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm Danishes.
- Cool & Serve: Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
