Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tomatoes – Wash and chop fresh tomatoes. If using canned tomatoes, drain if needed.
  2. Sauté the Aromatics – Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until soft and fragrant.
  3. Add the Tomatoes – Stir in the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste. Cook for a few minutes to deepen the flavor.
  4. Pour in the Broth – Add vegetable or chicken broth and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for 15-20 minutes until the tomatoes soften.

  6. Season and Enhance Flavor – Stir in salt, pepper, and sugar. If desired, add butter or heavy cream for extra richness.
