  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

 

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and dried thyme. Mix until fully combined without overmixing.
  • Shape the Meatloaf:

    • Transfer the meat mixture into a greased baking sheet or loaf pan. Shape into a loaf about 8 inches long and 4 inches wide.
  • Prepare the Balsamic Glaze:

    • In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens.
  • Apply the Glaze:

    • Brush a generous amount of the balsamic glaze over the meatloaf.
  • Bake the Meatloaf:

    • Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). During the last 10 minutes, apply more glaze.

 

  • Rest and Serve:

    • Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with remaining glaze.
