  • Total Time: 45-50 minutes
  • Yield: 8-10 people 1x

Description

Easy Monkey Bread is a sweet, sticky, and buttery pull-apart treat made with cinnamon-sugar-coated biscuit dough baked in a rich caramel sauce. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert, this crowd-pleasing recipe is simple to make and irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan or a deep baking dish to prevent sticking. Cut the refrigerated biscuit dough into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2: Coat the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. Toss the dough pieces in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until they are evenly coated.

Step 3: Assemble in the Pan
Layer the coated dough pieces into the greased bundt pan. If using chopped nuts, sprinkle some between the layers for added texture and flavor.

Step 4: Prepare the Caramel Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and stir until fully dissolved and slightly thickened. If desired, add a splash of vanilla extract for extra flavor.

Step 5: Pour & Bake
Evenly pour the caramel sauce over the dough pieces in the bundt pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

Step 6: Cool & Serve
Allow the Monkey Bread to cool for about 5 minutes before inverting it onto a serving plate. Serve warm and enjoy the sticky, pull-apart goodness!

Notes

  • Chocolate Lover’s Twist: Add chocolate chips between the dough layers.
  • Apple Cinnamon Monkey Bread: Mix in diced apples for a fruity touch.
  • Pumpkin Spice Version: Substitute cinnamon with pumpkin spice for a fall-inspired treat.
  • Savory Option: Use garlic butter and cheese instead of cinnamon sugar for a savory pull-apart bread.
