Ingredients
- 1 lb thinly sliced steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak)
- 1 bell pepper (green, red, or yellow), sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup provolone or American cheese, shredded
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Vegetables
Slice the bell pepper and onion into thin strips. Mince the garlic.
Step 2: Cook the Vegetables
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add bell pepper and onion, and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized.
Step 3: Add the Garlic
Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring until fragrant.
Step 4: Add the Steak
Add the thinly sliced steak to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and stir to combine. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until the steak is browned and cooked through.
Step 5: Add Sauces
Drizzle Worcestershire and soy sauce over the steak and vegetables. Stir well to coat.
Step 6: Melt the Cheese
Reduce heat to low. Sprinkle shredded provolone or American cheese over the steak mixture. Cover with a lid to allow the cheese to melt (about 2-3 minutes).
Step 7: Serve
Once the cheese has melted, garnish with fresh parsley (optional) and serve immediately. Great with crispy fries or a side salad!
