Description
Ingredients
- Tortilla chips
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
- 1 cup cooked and seasoned ground beef or shredded chicken
- 1 cup black beans or pinto beans
- ½ cup jalapeño slices
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup sliced black olives
- ½ cup green onions, chopped
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup guacamole
- ½ cup salsa
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Layer the Chips and Cheese Spread an even layer of tortilla chips on the sheet pan. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese over the chips to ensure every bite is cheesy.
Step 3: Add the Protein and Beans Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef or shredded chicken over the chips. Then, add black beans or pinto beans for extra texture and protein.
Step 4: Load with Additional Toppings Scatter jalapeño slices, diced tomatoes, and black olives across the top. These ingredients add both heat and freshness to the nachos.
Step 5: Bake Until Melted Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbling.
Step 6: Garnish and Serve Once out of the oven, top the nachos with chopped green onions, fresh cilantro, dollops of sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. Add hot sauce if desired.
Step 7: Enjoy Immediately Serve the nachos straight from the sheet pan while they’re hot and melty. Provide extra toppings on the side for customization.
Notes
- Vegetarian Nachos – Skip the meat and load up on beans, bell peppers, and mushrooms.
- Spicy Kick – Use extra jalapeños, spicy salsa, or drizzle with sriracha.
- BBQ Chicken Nachos – Swap traditional meat with shredded BBQ chicken for a sweet and smoky twist.
- Breakfast Nachos – Add scrambled eggs, crumbled bacon, and a drizzle of hollandaise sauce for a morning treat.
- Healthier Option – Use baked tortilla chips, low-fat cheese, and Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
