Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add diced chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
    • Cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. Cook the Tortellini:
    • In the same skillet, add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
    • Add tortellini and cook according to package instructions until tender.
    • Reduce heat to low.
  3. Prepare the Sauce:
    • Melt butter in the skillet and add minced garlic.
    • Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Pour in heavy cream and stir until well combined.
    • Gradually mix in grated parmesan cheese, stirring continuously to create a smooth sauce.
    • Add red pepper flakes for a hint of spice (if desired).
  4. Add the Broccoli:
    • Stir in broccoli florets and cover the skillet.
    • Allow the broccoli to steam in the sauce for about 3-4 minutes until tender.
  5. Combine Everything:
    • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
    • Add additional broth or cream if needed to adjust sauce consistency.
    • Let everything simmer together for 2-3 minutes to blend flavors.
  6. Serve:
    • Garnish with extra parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper.
