- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Chicken:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Tortellini:
- In the same skillet, add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Add tortellini and cook according to package instructions until tender.
- Reduce heat to low.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- Melt butter in the skillet and add minced garlic.
- Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir until well combined.
- Gradually mix in grated parmesan cheese, stirring continuously to create a smooth sauce.
- Add red pepper flakes for a hint of spice (if desired).
- Add the Broccoli:
- Stir in broccoli florets and cover the skillet.
- Allow the broccoli to steam in the sauce for about 3-4 minutes until tender.
- Combine Everything:
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
- Add additional broth or cream if needed to adjust sauce consistency.
- Let everything simmer together for 2-3 minutes to blend flavors.
- Serve:
- Garnish with extra parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
