Description

Enjoy a lighter version of the classic burger with these Homemade Burger Wraps with Creamy Special Sauce. Wrapped in a soft tortilla, the juicy patty is complemented by a tangy, creamy sauce for a delicious, low-carb alternative. Perfect for quick meals or meal prep!

Ingredients

Scale

For the burger wrap:

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 4 pickles, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cheese slices (optional)

For the creamy special sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp sweet relish
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the creamy special sauce:
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, sweet relish, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed. Set aside.

  2. Cook the burger patties:
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Shape the ground meat into patties, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked to your preference. Remove from heat and let rest.

  3. Warm the tortillas:
Warm the tortillas on a dry skillet over low heat for 30 seconds per side or microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel for 20-30 seconds.

  4. Assemble the burger wraps:
Lay a warm tortilla flat. Add a layer of lettuce, followed by a burger patty. Top with pickles, tomatoes, onions, and cheese (if desired). Drizzle with creamy special sauce, fold the sides over, and roll up tightly.

  5. Serve:
Slice in half and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Low-carb/Keto: Use lettuce wraps or keto-friendly tortillas.
  • Vegetarian: Replace the beef patty with a veggie burger or grilled portobello mushroom.
  • Cheese lovers: Add melted cheese for extra creaminess.

  • Spicy Twist: Add jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce, or incorporate sriracha into the creamy sauce.
