- 3–4 tea bags (black tea, green tea, or herbal tea)
- 1 cup fresh pineapple juice (or 100% pineapple juice)
- 2–3 tbsp honey or sweetener of choice (optional)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Ice cubes
- Mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
- Pineapple wedges (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Tea: Boil water and pour over tea bags in a heatproof pitcher. Let steep for 5-7 minutes. Remove tea bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
- Prepare the Pineapple Mixture: Blend fresh pineapple until smooth and strain to remove pulp, or use store-bought 100% pineapple juice.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, mix brewed tea with pineapple juice. Add honey or sweetener if desired. Stir well.
- Chill the Tea: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to enhance flavors and chill thoroughly.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled pineapple iced tea over the ice. Squeeze a bit of fresh lemon juice into each glass.
- Garnish and Enjoy: Add fresh mint leaves and a pineapple wedge for a decorative and flavorful touch. Serve immediately.
