- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for garnish)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Fresh berries (optional, for garnish)
- Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a small round cake pan or ramekins.
- Cream Butter & Sugar
- In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs & Vanilla
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Incorporate Liquids
- Slowly add heavy cream, milk, and vegetable oil, stirring gently to form a smooth batter.
- Bake the Cake
- Pour batter into the prepared pan or ramekins.
- Sprinkle brown sugar on top for a caramelized crust.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool & Serve
- Allow to cool slightly before removing from the pan.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with vanilla ice cream and fresh berries.
