Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups almond flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Flavorings: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
- Combine and Pour: Mix until the batter is smooth and well incorporated. Pour it into the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
Notes
- Citrus Twist: Add lemon or orange zest for a refreshing citrus note.
- Chocolate Almond Cake: Stir in chocolate chips or drizzle melted chocolate on top.
- Berry Addition: Fold in fresh raspberries or blueberries.
- Dairy-Free Option: Substitute butter with coconut oil or dairy-free margarine and use almond or oat milk instead.
