  • Total Time: 4 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 8

Description

Indulge in a rich and creamy Pistachio Tiramisu, a delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert. Made with layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers, pistachio mascarpone cream, and a hint of liqueur, this no-bake treat is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Ladyfinger biscuits
  • Espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • Mascarpone cheese
  • Heavy cream
  • Granulated sugar
  • Pistachio paste
  • Vanilla extract
  • Egg yolks
  • Powdered sugar
  • Amaretto or pistachio liqueur (optional)
  • Crushed pistachios for garnish
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

Prepare the Coffee Mixture

  1. Brew a strong espresso or coffee and allow it to cool.
  2. If using liqueur, mix it into the coffee for extra flavor.

Make the Pistachio Mascarpone Cream

  1. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks and granulated sugar until pale and thick.
  2. Add the mascarpone cheese and pistachio paste, stirring gently until fully incorporated.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until smooth and airy.

Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee mixture, ensuring they are moist but not soggy.
  2. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
  3. Spread half of the pistachio mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers evenly.
  4. Repeat with another layer of coffee-dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream.

Chill and Serve

  1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle crushed pistachios for a beautiful finish.

Notes

  • Alcohol-Free Version – Omit the liqueur and add a touch of almond extract for extra flavor.

  • Matcha Pistachio Tiramisu – Infuse the mascarpone cream with matcha powder for a unique flavor twist.
  • Gluten-Free Version – Use gluten-free ladyfingers to make this dessert suitable for those with dietary restrictions.
