  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
  • Raisins (for decoration)
  • Almonds (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine quark, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Gradually sift in flour and baking powder, stirring continuously to form a soft dough. Add lemon zest if desired.
  4. Knead the dough gently on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
  5. Divide the dough into portions and shape each into bunny figures. Use small pieces for ears and tails.
  6. Decorate with raisins for eyes and almonds for tails.
  7. Brush with milk or egg wash for a golden-brown finish.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
