Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Marinate: In a bowl, mix olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, and honey. Coat the chicken in this mixture and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add butter and allow it to melt. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Add the Toppings: Reduce the heat to low, then sprinkle cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack cheese over the chicken. Cover the skillet with a lid and allow the cheese to melt.
- Add Bacon: Once the cheese is melted, sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
- Spicy Kick: Add cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the seasoning blend.
- BBQ Twist: Swap Worcestershire sauce with your favorite BBQ sauce for a smokier flavor.
- Lower Fat Option: Use reduced-fat cheese and turkey bacon for a lighter version.
- Herb-Infused: Add dried thyme or rosemary to the marinade for extra depth of flavor.
