Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

 

  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Brussels Sprouts – Trim the ends, remove yellowed leaves, and cut in half.
  • Heat the Oil – In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Sauté the Garlic – Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Cook Brussels Sprouts – Place them cut side down in the skillet and cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  • Season – Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir and cook for another 4-5 minutes.

 

  • Finish & Serve – Drizzle with lemon juice and optionally top with Parmesan cheese or balsamic glaze. Serve warm.

  • Bacon Infused: Use rendered bacon fat instead of olive oil.
  • Nutty Addition: Add toasted almonds or walnuts for extra crunch.
