- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard

Instructions
- Prepare the Patties: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, onion, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the Steaks: Shape the mixture into evenly sized oval patties.
- Cook the Patties: Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tbsp butter. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and nearly cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Gravy: In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and stir in flour. Cook for 1-2 minutes until golden.
- Add Liquids: Gradually whisk in beef broth, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Stir until thickened.
- Incorporate Mushrooms: If using, add mushrooms and simmer for a few minutes until tender.
- Combine Everything: Return patties to the skillet, spoon gravy over them, and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with parsley and serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
