  • 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp sugar

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Special Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, pickle relish, white vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and sugar.
  2. Stir well until all ingredients are fully combined.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.

Step 2: Cook the Beef Mixture

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and season with salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Cook until the beef is fully browned, breaking it into crumbles with a spatula.
  4. Drain excess grease and set aside.

Step 3: Prepare the Slider Rolls

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them intact as a sheet.
  3. Place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
  4. Evenly spread the cooked beef over the rolls.
  5. Layer American cheese slices on top of the beef.

Step 4: Assemble and Bake

  1. Cover with the top half of the rolls.
  2. Melt butter and brush it over the tops of the sliders.
  3. Sprinkle sesame seeds for an authentic Big Mac look.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and buns are golden.

Step 5: Add Toppings and Serve

  1. Remove from the oven and carefully lift the top of the buns.
  2. Spread the prepared special sauce over the cheese layer.
  3. Add shredded lettuce, diced onions, and sliced dill pickles.
  4. Place the top buns back and press gently.
  5. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.

Notes

  • Turkey or Chicken: Swap out ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • Spicy Version: Add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture.
  • Low-Carb Option: Serve on lettuce wraps instead of Hawaiian rolls.
  • Cheese Options: Try cheddar or Swiss instead of American cheese.
  • Gluten-Free: Use gluten-free slider buns or a lettuce wrap.
