Description
These Savory Breakfast Sliders with Sausage and Cheese are the perfect morning meal, featuring buttery slider buns filled with savory sausage, scrambled eggs, and melty cheese. Ideal for breakfast, brunch, or a hearty snack.
Ingredients
- 6–8 slider buns
- 1 lb breakfast sausage (or sausage patties)
- 6 large eggs
- 6 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- 2 tbsp butter (for cooking and brushing)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika
- Fresh herbs (optional for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Sausage
Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Continue cooking until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease and set aside.
Step 2: Scramble the Eggs
While the sausage is cooking, crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk with salt and pepper. In another skillet, melt butter over medium heat and cook the eggs, stirring occasionally, until scrambled. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3: Assemble the Sliders
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves together. Place the bottom halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Layer the cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese slices on top. Place the top halves of the buns on.
Step 4: Add Butter and Bake
Brush melted butter over the top of the buns and cover the baking sheet with foil. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the sliders are heated through and the cheese melts. For a crispy top, remove the foil in the last few minutes of baking.
Step 5: Serve
Once baked, remove the sliders from the oven. Slice into individual sliders and serve immediately. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
