  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 12 oz egg noodles

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef – Trim excess fat from the beef and cut it into chunks if not already pre-cut.
  2. Sear (optional) – For added flavor, sear the beef in a skillet with a little butter or oil until browned on all sides.
  3. Load the slow cooker – Add the beef, chopped onions, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, Italian seasoning, and black pepper into the slow cooker.
  4. Slow cook – Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until the beef is tender and easily shreddable.
  5. Shred the beef – Use two forks to pull apart the meat directly in the slow cooker.
  6. Thicken the broth (optional) – If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch with water and stir it into the broth. Let it cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  7. Cook the noodles – Add egg noodles to the slow cooker in the last 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender.
  8. Finish and serve – Stir in butter for added richness. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
