Ingredients
Meatballs:
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Gravy & Cooking:
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Meatballs: In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
2️⃣ Form the Meatballs: Roll the mixture into evenly sized meatballs (about 1-inch diameter).
3️⃣ Sear the Meatballs (Optional): For extra flavor, brown the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side before placing them in the slow cooker.
4️⃣ Prepare the Gravy: In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, brown gravy mix, tomato paste, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
5️⃣ Assemble in the Slow Cooker: Layer sliced mushrooms at the bottom, place the meatballs on top, then pour the gravy mixture over everything.
6️⃣ Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until meatballs are fully cooked and tender.
7️⃣ Thicken the Gravy: In the last 30 minutes, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Stir into the slow cooker to thicken the gravy.
