  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 jalapeño (optional, for heat)

    • Season the steak with salt, black pepper, paprika, and cumin.
    • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add butter or olive oil.
    • Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side until a golden crust forms. Adjust cooking time for desired doneness.

  2. Cook the Vegetables:
    • In the same skillet, add more butter or oil if needed.
    • Sauté onions, garlic, and bell peppers until softened and fragrant.
    • Add jalapeño if using, for extra heat.
  3. Prepare the Rice:
    • Warm beef broth in a pot and mix it into the cooked rice.
    • Stir in some queso sauce for a creamy texture.
  4. Assemble the Dish:
    • Add sliced steak back into the skillet with the sautéed vegetables.
    • Pour queso sauce over the mixture and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
    • Serve over the prepared rice.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    • Sprinkle fresh cilantro and squeeze lime juice over the dish.
    • Serve hot and enjoy!
