Sticky Beef Noodles

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Description

Sticky Beef Noodles is a quick and flavorful stir-fry dish featuring tender beef, chewy noodles, and a rich, savory sauce. Perfect for an easy weeknight dinner with bold umami flavors.

Ingredients

  • Beef (such as sirloin or flank steak)
  • Soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce
  • Hoisin sauce
  • Brown sugar
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Cornstarch
  • Vegetable oil
  • Rice vinegar
  • Chili flakes (optional)
  • Noodles (egg noodles or rice noodles)
  • Bell peppers
  • Carrots
  • Green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef – Slice the beef thinly against the grain and toss it with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Cook the Noodles – Boil the noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce – In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and a pinch of chili flakes if desired.
  4. Sear the Beef – Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef and sear until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  5. Sauté the Vegetables – In the same pan, add more oil if needed and stir-fry garlic, ginger, bell peppers, and carrots until slightly softened.
  6. Combine Everything – Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce. Toss in the cooked noodles and mix well until everything is coated in the sticky sauce.
  7. Garnish and Serve – Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving hot.

Notes

  • Spicy Kick – Add extra chili flakes, Sriracha, or fresh red chilies.
  • Protein Swap – Use chicken, shrimp, or tofu instead of beef.
  • Gluten-Free Option – Use tamari instead of soy sauce and rice noodles.
  • Extra Crunch – Add water chestnuts or bean sprouts.
