Description
Strawberry Pineapple Salsa is a fresh and fruity twist on traditional salsa, combining sweet strawberries, tropical pineapple, and zesty lime. Perfect for tacos, grilled meats, or as a light summer snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and diced
- 1 cup pineapple, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, minced
- 1 small jalapeño, finely diced (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and dry the strawberries, then hull and dice them. Peel and core the pineapple, then chop it into small chunks. Mince the red onion and finely dice the jalapeño, removing seeds if a milder spice level is desired.
- Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced strawberries, pineapple, red onion, and jalapeño. Add finely chopped fresh cilantro.
- Add Flavor: Squeeze fresh lime juice over the mixture and drizzle with honey if a sweeter taste is preferred. Sprinkle with salt to enhance the flavors.
- Toss and Rest: Gently toss all ingredients until well combined. Allow the salsa to sit for about 10-15 minutes for the flavors to meld.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately with tortilla chips, as a topping for grilled chicken or fish, or inside tacos for a fruity twist.
