- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 8 oz cooked noodles (lo mein, spaghetti, or rice noodles)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water until well combined. Set aside.
- Cook the beef: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.
- Add aromatics: Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Incorporate vegetables: Add sliced carrots and bell peppers, stirring occasionally until they start to soften.
- Combine with sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring to coat everything evenly. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Toss with noodles: Add cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing well to combine everything. Cook for another 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Finish and serve: Sprinkle with chopped green onions, red pepper flakes, and sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
