- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2–3 pickles, chopped
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp mustard
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp fresh chives or parsley, chopped
- 50g Swiss cheese (optional), cut into small cubes
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the sausage into thin rounds or strips. Thinly slice the onion and chop the pickles.
- Make the Dressing: In a bowl, whisk together the white wine vinegar, vegetable oil, mustard, salt, black pepper, and sugar until well combined.
- Assemble the Salad: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced sausage, onions, and pickles. Pour the dressing over and toss to coat evenly.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with chopped chives or parsley before serving. If using Swiss cheese, add thin slices or cubes for extra flavor.
