- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Mexican blend, or Monterey Jack)
- 1/2 cup refried beans or black beans
- 1/2 cup salsa or taco sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped lettuce
- Sliced jalapeños (optional)
- Chopped cilantro (optional)
- Guacamole (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin.
- Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or turkey until browned. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning according to package instructions.
- Prepare Wonton Wrappers: Press a wonton wrapper into each muffin cup to form a cup shape.
- Layer Ingredients: Add a spoonful of refried beans or black beans to each cup, followed by cooked meat and shredded cheese.
- Add Second Wrapper: Place another wonton wrapper on top and repeat layering with meat and cheese.
- Bake: Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until wonton wrappers are golden brown and crispy.
- Cool Slightly: Allow taco cupcakes to cool for a couple of minutes before removing from the tin.
- Top & Serve: Garnish with salsa, sour cream, diced tomatoes, lettuce, jalapeños, cilantro, or guacamole as desired. Serve immediately.
