Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter & Sugars: Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate Wet Ingredients: Mix in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix & Fold: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Portion Dough: Drop tablespoon-sized dough portions onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake: Bake for 9-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Cool: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
