Description
Indulge in a refreshing Cherry Earl Gray Milk Tea, a delightful blend of floral Earl Gray tea, sweet cherries, and creamy milk. Enjoy it hot or iced for a soothing and flavorful experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 Earl Gray tea bags (or 2 tsp loose-leaf tea)
- ½ cup fresh or frozen cherries
- 1 ½ cups water
- ½ cup milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1–2 tbsp honey or sweetener of choice
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Ice (optional, for iced tea)
- Whipped cream (optional, for garnish)
- Dried rose petals or additional cherries (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Brew the Tea: Boil water and steep the Earl Gray tea bags for 4-5 minutes. For a stronger tea base, steep slightly longer.
- Prepare the Cherry Mixture: In a small saucepan, heat the cherries with a bit of water and sweetener over medium heat. Stir occasionally until cherries break down into a syrup-like consistency.
- Strain and Mix: Strain the cherry mixture to remove solids, then mix the cherry syrup with the brewed tea. Stir well to combine flavors.
- Add the Milk: Pour in your choice of milk and stir gently. For a frothy texture, use a milk frother or blend for a few seconds.
- Serve Hot or Cold: If serving hot, pour into a cup. For an iced version, let cool and pour over ice.
- Garnish and Enjoy: Optionally, top with whipped cream and dried rose petals for an elegant touch.
Notes
- For an Iced Cherry Earl Gray Latte, blend the tea and cherry syrup with ice and milk for a chilled treat.
- Vegan Version: Use oat, almond, or coconut milk and substitute honey with maple syrup or agave.
- Enhance flavor with almond extract for nuttiness or cinnamon for warmth.
